How To Motivate Yourself
Believe me, when I say that there are days when all that shouldn’t go wrong becomes worse, the times when troubles face you in every corner you try to get through and it’s hellish.
These times are sometimes so hectic leading us to give up or give in and just let go, you forget what you are pursuing and the goals set. It may be that frustration that is redundant and so adamantly refusing to pave the way.
We get shredded and lose all hope of ever getting through. Rambo says that nothing is hard as the life it will knock you down… If you get knocked down and stay there then you have lost.
So how can we get moving despite the challenges on the road? 1. Try new experiences
Have you been wanting to try a new recipe, certain activities like skateboarding, bike riding, surfing, do that thing. This makes you be filled with such joy after accomplishing it so that you feel motivated and encouraged.
2. Recognizing the reason why you are doing what you are doing
Having known you’re why is crucial in this way it helps channel your energy and focus it leads you to a path of being animated because there’s a result you want to be achieved. Is what you are doing worth is, the consequences desirable or is it do you not know? Working on that is essential in that you will be directed by that sense of mission and purpose.
Get out a piece of paper and write it down list the reason why you are doing and read it out loud for you. What gets you up in the morning what drives you do you know it for you?
3. What are you saying about you
Listening to your inner conversation may help identify and eliminate the constant negative mental charter that may be pulling you down.
So let me ask what are you thinking about yourself, about your ability to get things done about your relationship? Do you think you are competent, good enough, capable.
Understanding your mental charter may help know how your energies are spent.
4. Get the small stuff done
When energies are low and motivation seems to be out of the window, doing some small things done may help restore the sense of control, accomplishment, and empowered. This as a result may help affect the level of energy that was there in the first place.
Make your bed very well, get the laundry done, clear your house tale a walk, talk to that person you’ve been wanting to talk to, etc. Accomplishing small tasks helps improve the level of motivation.
5. Recollection of great things accomplished
Throughout your life you made great happen consciously or unconsciously, these may be the fuel in the engine stuck at sea. Because to be honest there are things that you have achieved tapping into that power brings a sense of accomplishment and enthusiasm which may be just what you need.
So remember the time you helped someone when you got the quiz done when you started that business when you bought or got your own house when you became financially independent that’s all you so get into that spirit and get the task at hand done.
6. What do you want to achieve
Some dark days may scribble our sense of purpose and mission to the point of forgetting why we are doing what we are doing for. To remind you of what you want to get done and what you are willing to do to get it.
Getting to the specifics of what you want to achieve or what you want to accomplish may help motivate us and get us out of a slump. In life we all have visions and missions that help guide us reminding ourselves of these may restore our energies.
7. Do what you love doing
Some bleak days require that you dig down deep find something you enjoy doing and afterward that makes you feel a whole lot better and revitalized and ready to kick some tasks.
Recognize some things you like doing and in the midst of a tough break get up and do the things you like and that may bring that motivation back.
8. Get up and get it done.
Some difficult days require you to just get up and keep moving. At times of tough breaks procrastinating for a better time may be a curse. Because it limits you and makes you stagnant.
9. Journaling
Write down thoughts has proven to be psychologically beneficial. When there’s low motivation writing down what it is that is crossing your mind at that particular point in time may help understand the reason for the low energy.
Identifying your thought pattern while unable or feeling like not getting out of the bed may help to dismiss it, confront the thought, or work on it because then the enemy would be known to you.
10. Imaginal experience
Using your imaginable experience can help bring your energy back. Going into the near future seeing it with your mind of what it could be, filled with a rich sensory experience can boost the level of motivation.
The presence of a dream manifested in your mind’s eye through visualization or daydream can help bring back the enthusiasm to keep at the tasks at hand till to fruition.
11. Listen to motivation talks
Some days when there’s no motivation internally, looking for it externally through listening to motivational talks, videos, or even reading a book may help come out of a slump. So find some good inspiring articles, talks, books, videos, etc. that can help you get going even after facing a tough break.
12. Meditation
Clearing your mind off of all baggage and luggage by relaxation and focusing the body’s energy can be a great way to get over a slump.
Calming your mind from all fears and challenging and then going at it with a refreshed perspective can help bring back the zealousness and mental energy required to get through.
13. Exercising or taking a walk
Exercising triggers the brain to produce some hormones such as endorphins, and dopamine which makes one a sense of pleasure and so making them be in a positive state of mind.
If your mind is tuned positively then motivation will come back to you or even experience an epiphany leading to solving the problem of low motivation.
14. Rewarding yourself
In the midst of a tough break, it helps to find some positive things about you which can act as a resource in the night before dawn breaks. Find some positive things that you have done, or some great qualities that you have and reward yourself for them.
This may help attune the mind to see the good things, the resources, and thus the zapped energy comes back to you and you make it through.
